Brigadeiro

As a typical chocoholic, one night I was bored and decided to make my favorite childhood dessert, Brigadeiro. This little truffle/fudge is one of Brazil's best tasting treats. Just mention the name Brigadeiro to any Brazilian and you are bound to hear a "HUMMMMMMMMM". So rich and decadent that it almost tastes sinful.  Making it is just as mouth watering, I can't wait to lick the pan. Using simple ingredients and with a steady wrist, I cooked it to perfection. Just a taste from the wooden spoon and... delicious!!!!!
I had to share it with someone. Not just for the taste but I couldn't eat the entire thing alone. Well, I could but guilt would haunt me for the rest of the day. So I rolled them into little balls, garnished with chocolate sprinkles and gave some to my neighbors. Their reaction surprised me. I though they would politely say thank you and later bring my plate back saying it was great, as they usually do. I tend to cook too big of portions and having four male students next door, not much goes to waste. This time I barely got to my door as two of them came running behind me asking for more brigadeiro. Did I create addicts? I don't know but now I have the peace of mind that making my favorite treat will also make others happy :)
Have a sweet day
